This serene design was to be located in the hills above Glen Ellen, Ca. overlooking the vineyards of the valley of the moon. The client wanted a modern interpretation of a Japanese country house. The house features a curved roof, long skylights and a Japanese water garden at the entry. Curved redwood glulam beams form the high ceilings throughout. The plan included a pool and gazebo set in a lovely grove of oak trees. A marital rupture stopped the project before construction.
